Designated Mental Health Professional
Provides clinical evaluations, interventions and dispositions of clients experiencing mental health crisis in all community settings in Thurston and Mason Counties and in BHR’s Crisis Triage Unit. Fulfills all legal requirements of DMHP’s in RCW 71.05, 71.34 and any other DMHP related statutes.
Qualifications: - Masters Degree in a mental health or related field;
- Two years experience providing services to severely and persistently mentally ill adults or emotionally disturbed children;
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends;
- Agency affliated counselor in the State of Washington;
- Working knowledge of RCW 71.05, 71.34, 70.96a, and areas of RCW10.77 dealing with mentally ill offenders as well as any other RCW’s or WAC’s pertaining to DMHP’s;
- Current driver’s license;Current automobile insurance permitting business of use of car;Reliable transportation;
- The ability to access and work within buildings that are not required to meet ADA standards for construction;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Background Check; Demonstrated strong diagnostic and clinical skills;
- Ability to relate in a positive and calming way to persons in crisis, their families and allied professionals;
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, triaging and meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting goals and deadlines;
Salary: $20.14 - $23.36 per hour DOE, plus benefits
