Housing Services
BHR owns and operates three apartment complexes in Thurston County whose use is dedicated to clients receiving Community Support level of services from BHR.
Tumwater Cove an 8 one-bedroom unit complex
B&B a 16 one-bedroom unit complex
The Gardens a 34 studio unit complex
In addition, BHR owns the Evergreen Apartments in McCleary. These units have the prioritized population of low-income families.

PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) Program
Assertive community treatment is an Evidence Based Practice that delivers a full range of services to people who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder. The goal of assertive community treatment is to allow people to live in their community, limit hospital stays and to have a life that isnt defined by having a mental illness. People who experience persistent and severe symptoms and have severe difficulties with basic, everyday things such as staying safe, caring for their physical needs, keeping safe and adequate housing, and working, may benefit from an assertive community treatment program. The program is limited to serving 50 clients.
Assertive community treatment is different from other services by offering:
- Team approach to Service Directory
- Low staff-to-consumer ratio
- Services are provided where and when they are needed
- Uninterrupted care
- Time-unlimited support

CAST (Client Accessed Support Team) Program
CAST is an adult outpatient services program in the BHR Thurston County Offices. This program offers a team approach for case management services and provides services under a model of care called the Recovery and Resiliency Model. In the Recovery Model the client is the leader of the team and in charge of their Recovery Plan. The team is there to assist the client in attaining the goals that the client sets for themselves. The CAST program operates on a client initiated basis and strives to achieve same day or next day access to a clinician.

Supported Employment (Pathfinders)
Pathfinders, a program of Behavioral Health Resources (BHR) that provides individual employment support services to clients in Thurston and Mason Counties. Our mission is to assist people with mental health disabilities to find and maintain meaningful employment in our community.
- Professional staff who treat each client as an individual and assist them in finding the best employment match.
- Complete package of employment services such as job goal setting, interview training, resume development, job search and job placement assistance.
- Job Trial/Training for assessment purposes. Pathfinders can place individuals for a limited period of time into a work site to determine their work skills and work readiness.
- Job Coaching as needed. Based upon individual needs, a job coach will assist individuals to transition smoothly into your/their work environment.
